Zachary came today and spent several hours tracing wires and sorting out a 33 year old configuration that adhered to code standards long since dead. He ultimately identified that the smart switch I purchased could not be used in that location because of how the wiring was ran. I would have never identified this on my own. I won't disclose his fee for the excellent service he provided, but i will say it was more than reasonable. I'd highly recommend him for any future electrical projects in your home.
